Wool/Blend Rugs

Wool blended with synthetic fibers such as polyester, polypropylene, or nylon rugs are great for those who want to enjoy a wool rug without the high price tag. In addition, it combines the beneficial characteristics of one fiber with another.

Wool is extremely durable and rich in lanolin, a natural oil that provides softness and natural stain resistance.

Synthetic fibers are generally a non-absorbent, quick-drying material, which means they are much less prone to mold and mildew. Due to the way they are dyed, they are also resistant to most chemicals, as well as fading from UV rays.

Instructions and Care

  • Rotate the rug every 3 months to prevent fading and uneven wear.
  • Vacuum at least once a week, twice if in a high-traffic area. Use suction only, no brushes.
  • Do not pull loose threads; use scissors to trim protruding ends.
  • Avoid direct sunlight to prevent UV damage or fading.
  • Remove spills immediately by blotting with a clean, undyed cloth; press firmly around the spill to absorb as much as possible. Lay the rug flat to dry.
  • Professional cleaning is recommended; send the rug to a professional service with experience in cleaning fine rugs. Do not dry clean.
  • Store the rug by rolling it up and wrapping it in a cloth to protect it. Never fold your rug for storage.
  • To preserve the life of the rug, we recommend using a non-slip mat.
