Recycled PET Yarn Rugs

A soft, sustainable fiber with the look and feel of wool, PET is a synthetic material made by sorting, washing, and melting recycled plastic that would otherwise end up in landfills.

An eco-friendly alternative, approximately 400-500 recycled plastic bottles are used for every square meter of carpet.

The material is extraordinarily resistant to water, sunlight, and dirt, making a PET yarn carpet an excellent choice for indoor and outdoor use. Highly durable and easy to clean, it is also mold resistant.

Instructions and Care

  • Avoid exposure to heavy rain or standing water.
  • Frequent vacuuming is recommended. Avoid powerful heads and hard bristle brushes, as these can damage the rug.
  • Clean spills and stains with a damp cloth and, if necessary, a little foaming hand detergent.
  • Clean the rug monthly with a solution of mild detergent and water, scrubbing with a soft brush.Be sure to clean both sides of the rug.
  • If the rug is placed outdoors for long periods of rain, it needs to dry properly between uses. The rug fibers may eventually deteriorate if the rug does not dry.
  • Dry in the sun. Hang the rug or place it in the sun, then turn it over to ensure that both sides dry completely.
  • Fuzzing and pilling on the carpet are normal and can be easily removed using a fabric shaver or carefully trimmed with scissors.
  • To prevent slipping and preserve the life of the rug, we recommend using an outdoor/indoor non-slip mat.
