Viscose/Blend Carpets

  • Viscose, also known as Lyocell, is derived from natural sources but is a manufactured fiber. Viscose is an ultra-soft, shiny fiber that can be used alone or to add a silky sheen to natural fibers such as wool rugs.
  • Viscose is a delicate fiber with low tolerance to wear and abrasion. It is best to avoid spills and damp areas as liquids can stain the rug, which should only be used in areas with very low traffic and less potential for stains, excess moisture, or excessive wear.
  • Establishing a cleaning routine and regularly entrusting your rug to the care of professionals is extremely important to maintain its beauty, prevent damage, and slow down the natural process that can affect viscose fibers.

Instructions and Care

  • Rotate the rug every 3 months to prevent fading and uneven wear.
  • Vacuum as little as possible and, if necessary, always in one direction (not back and forth) and, most importantly, using only low suction power, without bristles.
  • Do not pull loose threads; use scissors to trim protruding ends.
  • No spot cleaning; never use liquids on viscose rugs. Avoid rubbing stains, which causes them to accumulate deeper.
  • If cleaning is necessary, send the rug to a professional service with experience in cleaning fine rugs.
  • To preserve the life of the rug, we recommend using a non-slip mat.
